We have begun our family vacation. I thought it would be a good idea to share our happenings with every one!

Friday night
we left our clean house and headed to Manhatten, mt!
We spent the night and woke up to the smell of biscuits and gravy! Yummmmmmm!
After beakfast, we made our trek to Logan.

Saturday
After 6 hours in the suburban, we finally made to Brandon and Andrea's house!
The kids played for a few hours until they were hungry.
GNO
depending who you asked---Randy says guy night out!
The boys went for ribs, pizza, and wings! They played pool and pin ball!

Teresa says girls night out!
We went to Magical moon (toy store) ate Chinese and ate aggie ice cream!

Off to bed to dream of tomorrow's adventures!

Graduation Day!

Yesterday was a very big moment for me. I finished my Masters fall semester, but it didn't seem real until yesterday. I received my hood and honor medal on Friday. Saturday was the actual graduation ceremony. It was nice to see my family and friends there. Dave Allred also graduated. He's a good friend of the family. He actually is from Preston, Idaho. (That's where I was born.) We also said our "see ya later...because they are moving back to Idaho. I'll post pictures soon!

Easter

Our events started last Saturday, with an early morning Easter Egg Hunt. Lucy found one egg with Nicole's help. Later that day, we decided to have another hunt and die eggs. This was much more successful. The kids all got new clothes to wear for church.They all looked so nice, but with the rush to make 9am church I didn't get a photo. Isn't that typical.

Sunday we drove to Randy's aunt and uncle's house. We had a great time at Ed and Joyce's house for Easter. I am hoping my video of our hunt works. Enjoy.

I've been using facebook, so I haven't posted as much. Now, I just realized tonight, that I haven't post in a very LONG time. Sorry. We are doing fine, just busy. Tonight we attended Nicole's choir concert. It was a nice evening! I'll post video soon.

The Economy Hits home!

Last night Randy and I were talking about how blessed we have been through these tough economic times.

Today, Randy's employer did partial layoffs. I think it sounds worse than it is. He basically has a three day weekend.

We have been so blessed from living by the council given to us by our prophet. We stay within our means, have food storage, and savings. We will be fine, it's just a shock--that things have hit our home. We hope all is well with our family and friends.

Another Week is Over!

I just got back from Helena. It was the school library media division retreat. Mike Eisneberg was our guest speaker. We had over 80 librarians, teachers, and administrators from across the state. This was one of the many things I get to help plan at the state level. Sadly, my term will be over come June. Then I will have time for other things, like writing in my blog.

Alex is finished with Basketball. Their last game was on Thursday. Alex was the star player. In one a game alone, he scored 33 points for his team. He is an amazing athlete.

Natalie qualified for the district spelling bee. That will be held at Lockwood School on February 18. I have helped coach the 5th grade students for the past 3 years. This is a unique opportunity for both of us.

We are getting ready for Valentine’s day….We purchased our cards. This week we will be addressing them and putting candies inside. This is one of my favorite celebrations. I have decided to make a homemade card for Randy. Oh, it will be fun…..glitter, glue, and stickers—it will be fun.

Other happenings to look forward to…..

We registered Alex for EFY. It will be held in Logan. So, I will be traveling to Utah around the 20th of June. As you can see by our calendar, summer is filling up fast.

I love igoogle

Ok, So I went to a class on google over the weekend. I love using igoogle. I have a calendar that I have posted to our blog. However, I will be emailing it to you as well. (It is a class assignment,) Anyhow, I am able to have a gadget on Igoogle for my blog, Hence, I can update my blog more often.

Before this class, I had an interesting expereince. It actually ended up in the Gazette. I am finally healing. My leg got pretty bruised. Randy actually took a picture of it, but it is too disgusting to add to this blog. Anyway, if you hadn't heard, try googling the armed robbery in the billings gazette paper.

I still can't believe that it happened. I am just glad that I had a great class that would distract me from the actual events. Just now, I am dealing with the emotional stuff. I think this is what they call post traumatic stress.

Any how...hope all is going well for everyone. What was your day like?

Summer is almost over!!

Dear Family,

We have had one busy summer! I can't believe I am just now adding wedding photos.

I have 4 and half weeks left of graduate school! I am so excited. So, let us recap what happened this summer.

We started off with Ben's Birthday. He's seven! Then Randy and I got married on June 21st. This was the highlight of our summer. We honeymooned in Red Lodge. We had an extra long time with out kids, so we traveled to pick them up. First we picked up the younger kids from Utah. We spent some time in Rexburg at Bear World. Then the next weekend we went to North Dakota to pick up the older kids.

July was spent teaching summer school. Nicole turned 12 and got to go to girl's camp. Two weeks later, Alex went to scout camp.

August started out celebrating Lucy's Birthday! Lucy is now 3 and is a big girl. We had a Barbie Cake and she loved being the center of attention!

This weekend we are headed to Big Splash to wind down our summer. We look forward to many happy memories to be posted here. Thanks for always checking to see how we are doing. We are happy and adjusting well to married and blended family life.

Jamie & Sherry, Tyler, Taryn and Trevor came from Beulah. It was fun to visit with all of them.

Some of Teresa's brothers and sisters and their families we able to come to the wedding too. Key - the gal the to very right is a very good friend (and ex in law) of Teresa's. I suspect she will be a very good friend of ours too. She is a very neat gal.

Mystery Man

A lot of you have been asking about Randy. Who is he? What does he look like? How did you meet? This a picture taken on our trip to North Dakota. We were going to visit his brother for Memorial Day weekend.

Randy and I have known each other for over 2 years. I have known his kids for 5 years. We attend the same church and I am the school librarian where all our kids attend.

We both feel divine intervention was the cause of us finally dating. We are excited for our new life together and look forward to raising six wonderful kids.

Ben's Birthday

Ben had his 7th birthday. We had a fun time celebrating all day long. We started early in the morning with cake for breakfast. Later Toby, Lissie, and Joey came for the preparty. Then we headed to Chuck e Cheese! Finally, when we had enough fun there, the real fun began at the sleepover. The party ended about 2 am. They all decided it was much more fun to stay up all night rather than go to sleep.

Christmas Letter 2007

Dear Friends,

As I sit and reflect upon the passing year, I am
filled with gratitude. This year has brought laughter
and tears, yet one thing has been constant: Our
Heavenly Father’s Love.

I have been busy with graduate school. At times being
a single mom, working full time and going to school
seems overwhelming. Yet, I am reassured when my
children hug me at night. They are wonderful children
and I am so blessed to have them in my life.

Natalie is now in 4th grade. She is doing really well
and has discovered that making new friends is one of
her talents. She is a good example to those around
her. She is a wonderful helper to her younger
siblings.

Ben is my bright and eager to please 1st grader. He
loves to read! Every night he has to share what he
can read with me. We now are on our third reading of
Frog and Toad, one of my favorites too. I enjoy his
little personality.

Lucy is a bundle of joy. Now 2 years old, she is full
of wonder. She has to check everything out. The
Crisco jar brought minutes of sheer pleasure! After
several baths, she no longer glows! She is talking a
lot more and is sure that Santa is scary.

I can’t help but feel blessed. Three wonderful
children, a job that allows me to be close to them,
and wonderful friends.

Well, I've been Busy

Sorry I haven't found the time to update everyone on my blog. Life has gotten crazy. Ned and I got divorced in Early November. So, I have been reluctant to post pictures and comments. In October, the kids and I went to Utah. Natalie and I went to the Hannah Montana Concert. We even won back stage passes to see her! This was a once in a life time event. We made posters and Brandon's House. This picture was right before we left.

4th of July Vacation

We had fun going to South Dakota and Wyoming. We drove to Mount Rushmore. We stopped outside of Rapid City at Reptile Gardens. The kids enjoyed the alligators, snakes, and turtles. We then drove to Devil's Tower. Have you been to any of these places? What was your favorite and why?
