Our Love Story!

We met years before we started dating.  We attended the same congregation.  After we were divorced, we were the "single" members at church.  We celebrated our first date this past weekend!  This summer we will have been married 10 years.  We've had our ups and downs.  Raising 6 kids hasn't been easy, our love has helped us through. Today we are celebrating our sealing.  In the lds church, this is an ordinance that is performed in the temple.  Typically, when young couples are married they are also sealed at the same time.  Because we have been married before, we had to be given special permission.  Feb. 19, 2011 was a wonderful snowy day just like today.  My parents came for the sealing as well a few close friends.  My brother, Glade, surprised us and bared the cold weather.  Today, we are heading to the temple to reflect on our time being married and the promises we have made to each other and to our God.  We are happy and love our love story!

 

I can't believe that it's been 7 years since my last post to our family blog.  WHOA!! I guess the saying is true: Times flies when you are having fun!  We are super excited for the upcoming year!

Alex is getting married!  They will be married in the Idaho Falls temple on December 28th.  We can't wait for Randee to join our family.

Nicole turned 21 this year!  She is working hard and looking at a promotion at her employment. 

Austin is a missionary in New Zealand and will be home next fall. He loves it there and enjoys his preparations days when he can visit different places. His photos are amazing.

Natalie is a full-time student at UVU and working full-time as a phlebotomist.  In her free time she's an RA for her housing.

Ben is a junior and thinking about his senior year!  He can't wait to be done with high school, but loves debate.

Lucy is getting used to her new middle school.  This has been an adjustment for her mom as well.

Randy and Teresa are settling into their new home.  They love working on projects and spending time out doors.

We made it thru the airport security! Now the wait for the plane begins! We leave at 10:50! The kids are so excited!

We have begun our family vacation. I thought it would be a good idea to share our happenings with every one!


Friday night
we left our clean house and headed to Manhatten, mt!
We spent the night and woke up to the smell of biscuits and gravy! Yummmmmmm!
After beakfast, we made our trek to Logan.

Saturday
After 6 hours in the suburban, we finally made to Brandon and Andrea's house!
The kids played for a few hours until they were hungry.
GNO
depending who you asked---Randy says guy night out!
The boys went for ribs, pizza, and wings! They played pool and pin ball!

Teresa says girls night out!
We went to Magical moon (toy store) ate Chinese and ate aggie ice cream!

Off to bed to dream of tomorrow's adventures!

Graduation Day!

Yesterday was a very big moment for me. I finished my Masters fall semester, but it didn't seem real until yesterday. I received my hood and honor medal on Friday. Saturday was the actual graduation ceremony. It was nice to see my family and friends there. Dave Allred also graduated. He's a good friend of the family. He actually is from Preston, Idaho. (That's where I was born.) We also said our "see ya later...because they are moving back to Idaho. I'll post pictures soon!

Easter

Our events started last Saturday, with an early morning Easter Egg Hunt. Lucy found one egg with Nicole's help. Later that day, we decided to have another hunt and die eggs. This was much more successful. The kids all got new clothes to wear for church.They all looked so nice, but with the rush to make 9am church I didn't get a photo. Isn't that typical.

Sunday we drove to Randy's aunt and uncle's house. We had a great time at Ed and Joyce's house for Easter. I am hoping my video of our hunt works. Enjoy.
